  • Christina Lay

  • Jeanine Bonds

Certified Body Back & Body Ignite Pro

I have been enjoying FIT4MOM for over eight years, when I started attending Stroller Strides classes regularly when my son was a baby. The classes were a "win-win," where I got to exercise and socialize with other moms, and my son had a built-in playdate with the other children.

When my daughter was born three years later, life became much busier, and I found that I was sacrificing my workouts to get errands done while my son was in morning preschool. Body Back entered my life at exactly the right time. The 8-week journey of fitness and nutrition was truly life changing. For the first time since having both of my children I felt fit, strong and healthy. I loved the "me" time and found it very satisfying to knock out an incredible workout first thing in the morning and have the rest of the day to accomplish my other tasks. I am thrilled to be a Body Back instructor and coach for other moms! I am passionate about our FIT4MOM community and inspiring moms to find their healthiest and happiest selves! With that, I am “pumped” to add the Body Ignite strength training class to the schedule!

Fun Fact: Jeanine was a BodyFlow instructor for over 10 years with Gold's Gym. BodyFlow is a class that incorporates yoga, tai chi and pilates. She gets to use her knowledge of simple yoga, stretching, and breathing in her monthly Mama Restore classes.

  • Najla Farooq

Certified Fit4Baby, Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Body Back pro

I am a mother of two; one energetic preschooler boy and a sweet and curious toddler girl. I moved to Fairfax in 2005 for college (GMU and Georgetown), got married & joined Stroller Strides while pregnant with my second in hopes of getting a chance to workout while still taking care of my son. I came back as soon as I was cleared by the Dr after delivering and started attending on a daily basis. I was surprised by the connections I made in the classes! I gained a lot of friends, support and experiences! These friendships are one of the big reasons why I became religious about attending classes regularly. Then one day one of the instructors asked me if I had ever considered becoming an instructor, which coincidentally was after a friend asked me the same question. The encouragement led me to go through with it and I am so happy I did! I love motivating and supporting others in reaching their goals, and doing all I can to help out! Most of all I love being a part of our village and look forward to more friendships, more laughters and great workouts!

Fun Fact: I became scuba certified when I was 12 in Saudi Arabia! Haven't been diving in years but would love to explore the oceans around us in the near future.

  • Mallary Hughes

    Certified Body Back Pro

Mallary is mom to a very happy, curious and energetic almost 2 year old boy! Growing up military, she moved every couple of years to locations up and down the east coast. Despite changing where she called home, some things remained constant-a love of staying active and desire to meet and make new friends along the way. By joining various sports teams like soccer, cross country, and crew she not only stayed in good shape but found camaraderie amongst her teammates. Flash forward many years, and the same still rang true. While on maternity leave, one of the happiest yet sometimes hardest of times, Mallary realized that what she needed more than ever (besides sleep) was a way to release stress and get back in shape while making deep meaningful connections with other women who have experienced the same thing. She decided to try a free class and has been hooked ever since! Now as an instructor she can’t wait to help bring other moms to the same village that has brought her such a strong sense of physical, mental, and emotional wellness!
